We are system partner of MCU GmbH for the East region (Saxony - Thuringia) operating in the area of process monitoring. We have specific responsibility for sales and technical support.
MCU became known around the world for its tool breakage system – Toolinspect – and is considered by all automobile manufacturers and reputable suppliers to set the benchmark in the area of tool failure monitoring.
Toolinspect is a cycle time-neutral system for identifying and reporting tool failure that can be readily integrated into all high-quality machine controls.

MCU was founded in 2005, and right from the start, the company focused on the development of process monitoring systems for machine tools, with the aim of simplifying operation. The result was a system that can be operated with just three buttons. Also contributing to the system was the realisation that machining is not a static process but instead subject to strong and variable fluctuations. Until then, only ‘snapshots’ had been available. A major advantage of Toolinspect is that process records can be logged.
This permits detailed insight into how a process has evolved.
These unique features have made the system a bestseller on the market.
MCU has worked closely with many of the best-known CNC control manufacturers for many years now. Data exchange between control systems – including different generations – and Toolinspect has already been implemented more than 2,000 times. Toolinspect communicates with the CNC/PLC control unit via fieldbus interfaces such as Profibus-DP, Profinet and MOD-Bus. Toolinspect can currently be integrated into the operating systems of Windows®, Linux® and Android® and can be run with standard CNC controls from Bosch, Bosch Rexroth, Fanuc, Heidenhain, Siemens 840D / 840Dsl / 828D and Indramat.
